Reading, Writing, and Resentment
It’s only fitting for my first blog post that I come clean.
I think blogs are silly. I have never been all that interested in what Joe Snuffy thinks about world events, or what Amanda Hugandkiss bought at the mall. I chuckle when I think how some bloggers hold themselves in such high regard for the clever little witticisms that they have decided warrant public exposure. And yet, here I am joining their ranks. I’m such a hypocrite.
The real reason that I’ve started a blog is so that I can shamelessly promote the book that I’m writing. I’ve read, as most indie authors have (is it too soon to call myself that), that blogging/tweeting are an absolutely invaluable piece of the marketing pie.
So you see, I’m not self-absorbed, nor do I like to hear myself talk; but that doesn’t mean that I’m not trying.
